Truth vs Action

Motivation Monday 6.8.15

John 8:32  "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

I may step on some toes by posting a bible verse and not fulling agreeing with it, but I'm ok with that. I feel that knowing the truth is the start to freedom. But just knowing the truth doesn't do enough to truly set you free.

Example: When the doctor told me "the truth" at age 22 I had high cholesterol and needed to go on medication, it didn't fully set me free. Just telling me the truth and putting me on medication didn't solve the problem. I needed to take action in order to truly be "free" of the problem. I needed to change my lifestyle, my habits, my nutrition, and the way I looked at my overall health.

What are the truths in your life? Are you taking action on them? (Are you seeing a re-occurring theme from last Monday?)

It's all about action when it comes to achieving your goals, getting the most out of life, and making a difference. Talk is cheap right?

-You can know all the truths about nutrition and exercise, but if you don't take action on those truths you will continue to not feel well, not be at a healthy body fat, stay on medications, etc.

-You can know all the truths about starting a business, the top 10 habits of successful people, how to run a business, etc. But again, if you don't take action nothing will become of those truths.

-You can know how to communicate with your significant other, know both of your love languages, know how to forgive and listen. Again, if you don't act on these things nothing will change.

Moral of this post is to take action. Find the truths in your life. Embrace them. Get to know them very well. But most important, take action on them.

Namaste,

Jess
